Germany-UAE Business Council and NRW.Global Business Forge Strategic Partnership to Boost Economic Cooperation
Berlin, Germany — On the sidelines of the prestigious “Invest in Germany” summit, the Germany-UAE Business Council (GUBC) took a significant step in strengthening international economic ties by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NRW.Global Business. The event was held at the Representation of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) to the Federal Government in Berlin, setting the stage for enhanced collaboration between Germany’s economic powerhouse region and the United Arab Emirates.
The MoU was formally signed by Felix Neugart, CEO of NRW.Global Business, and Musabbeh Al Kaabi, Co-Chair of the Germany-UAE Business Council. The signing ceremony was held in the presence of key dignitaries, including Dr. Matthias Roßbach, Plenipotentiary of the State of NRW to the Federal Government, as well as representatives from the UAE Embassy in Berlin and GUBC members.
Before the official signing, Musabbeh Al Kaabi held a productive bilateral meeting with Nathanael Liminski, Minister for Federal, European, and International Affairs and Media of the State of NRW and Head of the State Chancellery—a move that further emphasized both parties’ commitment to expanding mutual economic interests.
This landmark agreement marks a significant step toward deepening economic ties between NRW and the UAE. According to the GUBC, the collaboration aims to unlock new market opportunities and bolster economic resilience, with particular focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and family-owned businesses.
Under the newly established strategic framework, both organizations will concentrate their efforts on several key areas:
- Strategic Dialogue: Fostering regular economic and policy exchanges between senior leaders from both regions.
- Expert Exchange & Insights: Sharing market intelligence, best practices, and vital economic data to stay ahead of emerging trends.
- Collaborative Platform: Engaging the broader business communities in joint bilateral initiatives that promote innovation and growth.
- SME & Family Business Support: Assisting SMEs and family enterprises in identifying investment opportunities and establishing partnerships across the UAE and NRW.
“We are convinced that closer integration unlocks new market opportunities and strengthens economic resilience, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and family-owned businesses,” stated the Germany-UAE Business Council.
Both parties look forward to translating this agreement into actionable projects that will drive sustainable, bilateral growth, benefiting both the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the United Arab Emirates.
