Uzbek Business Council Launches in Dubai to Strengthen Uzbekistan-UAE Ties

**Dubai, UAE — The Uzbek Business Council (UZBC) was officially launched in Dubai yesterday, marking a significant step in deepening economic and business ties between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates. The event brought together prominent business leaders, investors, and representatives from both nations, all gathered under the patronage of high-level dignitaries.

The launch ceremony featured the distinguished presence of H.E. Mr. Umid Shadiev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the UAE, and Mr. Ulugbekhon Maksumov, Chairman of UZBC. The initiative was further supported by the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the UAE.

Gulee Ahmedova, commenting on the occasion, noted: “It was a day of genuine connections with business leaders and distinguished representatives from both Uzbekistan and the UAE alongside with H.E. Mr. Umid Shadiev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the UAE and Mr. Ulugbekhon Maksumov, Chairman of UZBC – and a very special energy from many remarkable women driving business, industry, and tech.”

The launch was celebrated as a crucial platform for Uzbekistan and the UAE to collaborate on trade, investments, and cross-border business opportunities. The significance of Dubai as a regional and global center for commerce and investment provides fertile ground for expanding bilateral cooperation and attracting new ventures.

Many attendees highlighted the dynamic participation of women advancing business, industry, and technology, showcasing the enthusiastic support for diversity and innovation within the newly established UZBC. The involvement of organizations like the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and their regional outreach promises robust support for future endeavours.

With the UZBC, businesses and investors from both Uzbekistan and the UAE can look forward to an invigorated environment for developing trade, investment, and cooperation, creating new opportunities and fostering sustainable growth.

Excitement is high for the next steps, as the UZBC aims to become a central hub facilitating interaction between businesses, institutions, and investors from both countries.
