Oman American Business Council Expands Biotech and AI Partnerships in Boston to Boost Trade and Innovation

Oman American Business Council (AmCham Oman) Strengthens Biotech and AI Ties in Boston

This summer marked a pivotal period of expansion for the Oman American Business Council’s (OABC) network, focusing on global connections that benefit its members. With Boston’s reputation as a leader in biotech and AI, it was a natural choice as a key destination on OABC’s agenda for international outreach.

During their time in Boston, Rebecca Olson, CEO of OABC, actively engaged with multiple organizations, paving the way for deeper collaboration and future opportunities. A special highlight was the meeting with the Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment (MOITI). The MOITI team, including Jeevan Ramapriya, Brittany McDonough, and Victoria Merriman, provided a comprehensive overview of the region’s dynamic trade and investment landscape, underscoring opportunities particularly in biotech and artificial intelligence.

“It was a pleasure to connect with Jeevan Ramapriya, Brittany McDonough, and Victoria Merriman and explore how we can build even stronger bridges between Massachusetts and Oman,” said Rebecca Olson.

These efforts signal an exciting chapter for OABC members, as the council looks forward to turning these new relationships into meaningful business opportunities. The power of international cooperation was further demonstrated by the remote work conducted from the U.S. this summer, which provided an excellent foundation for growing OABC’s presence “across the pond.”

Now back in Muscat, OABC is drawing on these connections to design its “most dynamic and engaging calendar yet” for 2025-2026, aiming to deliver outstanding value for its community.

Key Highlights:

  • Strengthening ties between the Omani and Massachusetts business communities
  • Special focus on leveraging advances in biotech and AI
  • Commitment to expanding trade and investment opportunities

Stay tuned as OABC continues to foster robust trade connections and drive innovation for its members in the coming year.
