Colombian Delegation Visits Dubai to Forge Coffee Trade Bridges at Gulfood 2026

In a significant step for international coffee trade, the vibrant city of Dubai recently played host to a Colombian Delegation organized by PROCOLOMBIA during their visit for the renowned #Gulfood 2026 event. The gathering, coordinated by #DMCCISP and #ICHORGLOBAL under the leadership of Tatiana Cordoba, offered delegates a comprehensive experience at the state-of-the-art DMCC Coffee Centre.

“We were honored to welcome the Colombian Delegation, organized by PROCOLOMBIA, during their visit to Dubai for Gulfood #2026” add Mohammed Ibrahim Mohammed ,from DMCC

The delegation’s visit included an in-depth tour of the DMCC Coffee Centre, highlighting its world-class infrastructure and the wide array of facilities it offers to global coffee players. From modern roasting, warehousing, and trading capabilities to seamless business setup solutions, the centre is specifically designed to facilitate rapid market entry and scalability for international producers, particularly those from Colombia.

During the visit, Mike Butler presented insights into how Colombian coffee companies can efficiently expand into the Dubai market. He emphasized multiple advantages, including:

  • Cost-saving operational models
  • Plug-and-play business setup options
  • Access to state-of-the-art roasting, warehousing, and trading facilities
  • An ecosystem tailored for fast entry and growth

The collaboration aims to strengthen the growing Colombia–Dubai trade ties, promoting Colombian coffee excellence within the UAE market. Special gratitude was extended to PROCOLOMBIA and all the delegates for their enthusiastic participation and commitment towards advancing bilateral trade and industry innovation.

As Dubai solidifies its position as an international coffee gateway, events like Gulfood continue to foster innovation, knowledge sharing, and partnerships that elevate the global coffee industry. Stakeholders on both sides look forward to expanding opportunities and supporting the thriving coffee industry in the region.
