Dubai Set to Host Expanded “Dubai Coffee Auction” at World of Coffee Dubai 2026
Dubai, 27 November 2025 – The highly anticipated World of Coffee Dubai 2026 is gearing up to host three dynamic live auctions under the banner of the “Dubai Coffee Auction, by DMCC,” marking an ambitious expansion in the event’s fifth edition, scheduled from 18th to 20th January at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Building on last year’s remarkable achievements—where bidding for select micro-lots soared above US$10,000 per kilogramme, one of the world’s highest records—the 2026 auction programme is set to raise the bar even higher. This year’s edition will unite some of the finest coffees from leading farms and emerging producers, while also offering limited-edition coffee equipment, further solidifying Dubai’s position as a premier hub connecting origin markets with global consumers.
The auctions are organised in collaboration with DMCC and DXB LIVE (the experiential agency of Dubai World Trade Centre) and are coordinated with M-Cultivo, a global leader in premium coffee auctions. The three auctions will introduce greater transparency, innovation, and market access for both producers and buyers.
Ahmed bin Sulayem: “As the UAE’s coffee market, currently valued at over $3.5 billion and projected to reach $4.5 billion by 2029, continues its rapid expansion, we are building on that momentum with an expanded programme for 2026 that will showcase more producers, varieties and limited-edition equipment to a truly international audience.”
Khalid Al Hammadi: “Expanding the auction programme underscores the event’s success in attracting leading brands and international platforms to the emirate. At DXB LIVE, we remain committed to delivering exceptional experiences that fuel this vital sector and contribute to the growth of the global coffee ecosystem from Dubai.”
The Expanded Auction Line-up
- Day 2 will feature the Microlot Coffee Auction. This unique event will showcase top-graded specialty microlots sourced from elite farms in Panama, Colombia, Ethiopia, Yemen, and Taiwan. Buyers can participate in cupping sessions to evaluate these rare lots before live bidding commences, offering an immersive experience that highlights exceptional precision and craftsmanship.
- Day 3 spotlights the Exhibitors’ Coffee Auction, where roasters and producers participating in World of Coffee Dubai will present their signature selections to a global audience of experts and buyers.
A Booming Market and Global Impact
The auction programme comes at a pivotal moment for the coffee industry. The UAE coffee market alone is valued at over $3.2 billion (AED12 billion) and is projected to climb to $4.5 billion (AED16.5 billion) by 2029. Regionally, the coffee market is expected to surpass $22 billion in the next decade, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4% to 5%.
The event’s diverse agenda connects all key players in the coffee value chain—from farmers and producers to roasters, importers, traders, retailers, equipment manufacturers, and industry experts.
