Dubai International Chamber Expands Global Reach with New Toronto Office

In a move aimed at strengthening economic ties and expanding bilateral trade and investment opportunities between Dubai and Canada, the Dubai International Chamber has announced the opening of a new representative office in Toronto. The launch marks the chamber’s first physical presence in North America and forms a key part of the ambitious ‘Dubai Global’ initiative, which targets the establishment of 50 global offices by 2030.

The official inauguration was attended by Maninder Sidhu, Minister of International Trade for Canada; Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Dubai Chambers; Abdulrahman Al Neyadi, Ambassador of the UAE to Canada; and key members from the Canadian business community.

According to Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori:

The launch of our new office in Toronto marks a significant milestone in strengthening the economic ties between Dubai and Canada. The office will serve as a strategic platform to connect businesses, facilitate investment flows, and open new channels for bilateral trade. We are committed to helping Canadian businesses leverage Dubai’s strategic location and competitive advantages as a gateway to global growth.

The opening comes at a time when bilateral business relations between the two economies are experiencing robust growth. The total value of non-oil bilateral trade exceeded AED10.2 billion last year. By the end of 2024, there were 4,112 Canadian companies active as members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, reflecting an annual growth rate of 29%. This trend continues in 2025, with 289 new Canadian companies joining in just the first quarter.

The Toronto office is expected to play a pivotal role for businesses in both Dubai and Canada, serving as a linked platform for promoting partnerships and supporting trade and investment flows. The chamber’s team will proactively engage the Canadian business community, foster strategic public and private sector partnerships, and showcase Dubai’s advantages as a leading global business destination.

For Canadian companies, the office will offer market intelligence and practical support for establishing or expanding operations in Dubai. At the same time, Dubai-based companies seeking opportunities in Canada will receive assistance in identifying trade and investment prospects and connecting with reliable local partners, thereby enabling smoother and more successful market entry.
