AD Ports Group Launches First International Office in China, Accelerating Global Expansion
AD Ports Group, a leading enabler of global trade, logistics, and industry, has officially opened its first International Office in China—a significant step in the company’s ambitious global expansion strategy.
Situated in the heart of China’s policymaking and planning ecosystem, the new office is set to become the fulcrum for the Group’s commercial and investment activities both across China and the larger Asia region. This move complements the Group’s expansive network, now boasting more than 140 offices worldwide.
The office was officially inaugurated by Samir Chaturvedi (Chief International Business Officer – AD Ports Group and CEO of Noatum Logistics), Abdulaziz Zayed Al-Shamsi (Regional CEO – AD Ports Group), and Ellie Hioe (General Manager of Noatum Logistics – Greater China).
Establishing a strong presence in Beijing will provide the Group with unparalleled proximity to key government stakeholders, strategic partners, clients, and investors. It will also support enhanced alignment with China’s development priorities and responsiveness to emerging trade and logistics opportunities in the region.
Alongside the AD Ports Group’s activities, Noatum Logistics—the Group’s logistics arm—will operate a new commercial branch focused on the strategic Beijing-Tianjin region, home to a population exceeding 110 million. This initiative is poised to deepen the Group’s engagement in China’s domestic market and further its involvement along the Belt and Road Initiative. The Belt and Road network comprises crucial maritime routes linking Asia, Africa, and Europe, as well as multimodal overland corridors connecting markets across China, Central Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
The Beijing office will serve as a vital platform to forge new partnerships, coordinate investments, and facilitate capital inflows from Chinese investors into the UAE. It will also act as a bridge for connecting clients and investors with the AD Ports Group’s integrated global trade and logistics ecosystem, supporting both new and existing business ventures.
As Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Managing Director and Group CEO, stated:
“As the world’s largest exporter and driver of supply chain development, China is actively reshaping international trade. AD Ports Group shares China’s vision for greater cross border integration, and through our newly established Beijing office, we will work closely with our Chinese partners to support the expansion of key local, regional and international trade corridors and deliver cutting edge shipping, infrastructure, and logistics solutions. We look forward to furthering our mutual investment flows and unlocking lasting value for our customers, investors and communities, creating a more connected, resilient and prosperous future for all.”
In tandem with the China growth strategy, the Group will also expand Noatum Logistics’ in-country capabilities, offering a full suite of end-to-end logistics solutions tailored to China’s fast-growing domestic market. With China’s GDP expected to grow at a CAGR of 3.5% through 2030 and its logistics market projected to increase at a 4.6% CAGR during the same period, AD Ports Group is positioning itself to become a major logistics player throughout every link of the supply chain serving China’s key industries.
