Cemex UAE Advances Sustainability and Operational Excellence at 2026 Energy & Sustainability Summit
At the recent 2026 Energy & Sustainability Summit, industry leaders convened to discuss the future of sustainability and resilience in the global supply chain. Among the distinguished speakers was Mariusz Mlodawski, Cemex UAE’s Country Director, who contributed valuable insights during the panel discussion titled “Staying the Sustainable Course.”
Mlodawski addressed the critical importance of strengthening supply chain resilience while simultaneously advancing sustainability goals. He emphasized key strategies such as diversifying material sources, optimizing resource efficiency, and embracing innovative solutions—including supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) and alternative fuels—as pathways to enhance supply chain flexibility and reduce embodied carbon.
He further underscored the necessity of operational excellence and robust cross-industry collaboration as driving forces for sustainable progress. “At Cemex UAE, strengthening supply chain resilience while advancing decarbonization remains central to our approach,” noted Mariusz Mlodawski.
Cemex UAE continues to prioritize improving energy and operational efficiency, increasing the use of alternative fuels and materials, reducing clinker content, and expanding the portfolio of lower-carbon cement and concrete solutions. These ongoing efforts are pivotal to not only ensuring resilience in supply chains but also to achieving ambitious sustainability and decarbonization targets.
As the summit concluded, Cemex UAE reaffirmed its commitment: Together, we continue Building a Better Future.
