AmCham Saudi Arabia Facilitates High-Level Defense & Security Roundtable in Washington, D.C.
Last week, the American Chamber of Commerce Saudi Arabia (AmCham Saudi Arabia) played a pivotal role in advancing defense industry relations by organizing a high-level, closed-door roundtable in Washington, D.C. The event brought together leading U.S. defense executives and H.E. Dr. Khalid Al Biyari, Saudi Arabia’s Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs. The session was chaired by AmCham KSA Committee Chair Faran Siddiqi and supported by AmCham KSA Executive Director Erich Phillips.
This exclusive event served as a vital platform for connecting industry leadership with key Saudi decision-makers in the defense space. During the session, H.E. Dr. Khalid Al Biyari emphasized the immense importance of AmCham member companies in advancing the strategic relationship, highlighting the necessity to transition “beyond the traditional ‘buyer-seller’ model to a true ‘investor-partner’ collaboration.”
The conversation centered around deepening defense industrial participation, expanding technology transfer, and building localized capacity to support Saudi Vision 2030 and address regional security concerns. The session underscored the shared commitment to strengthening the U.S.-Saudi partnership, fostering co-production opportunities and establishing a robust, strategic partnership in the defense industry.
AmCham Saudi Arabia continues to provide a crucial bridge between U.S. and Saudi stakeholders, positioning itself as an essential facilitator of dialogue and cooperation in one of the region’s most strategic sectors.
